Definition of bibliotherapy Bibliotherapy is a form of mental health treatment. It involves the use of books to help children cope with changes, emotional problems, or mental problems (Pardek, 1994). Bibliotherapy helping a pupil find a book that might help the pupil solves personal problem, develop skills needed for living, and/or bolster self-image.” (Shepherd and Iles, 1976).
